The region is home to a comprehensive network of cycle paths, many of which have brought a new dimension to rural holiday-making. The best known of these paths runs down the corridor of the Odra and Morava rivers, (the so-called “Moravian Gateway”). It follows the ancient trade route which leads from Baltic to Southern Europe and is known as the Amber Route.
There are many tracks for the lovers of mountain bikes in the Těšínské Beskydy area – more than 600 km of tracks that lead through the mountain ridges, deep valleys, mountain settlements and tourist huts with wide range of accommodation opinions. All the tracks are listed on the web pages www.mtbbeskydy.cz.
Detailed maps of the cycle routes in each district, an invaluable companion for every cyclist, are available in every tourist information centre.
