History and nature

Těšín Silesia is the place with natural reserves and places of historical importance.

The primeval forest of Mionší is the largest complex of naturally occurring fir-and-beech-tree forest of the Carpathian type in the Czech Republic. The trail is only seasonal: it is open from 1 June to 15 September.krajina

The eastern-most point of the Czech Republic you can find in Bukovec.

For the lovers of countryside and history there is the historic town of Těšín and Karviná. Definitively, you  should not miss  the excursion to the Czech  and also Polish part of the town Těšín.  In the Czech part you can visit the square and the Museum of the Těšín Region.

The archeological park in Chotěbuz-Podobora is one of the best documented archaelogical sites in the Czech Republic.

Havířov – the timbered house in Havířov is one of the oldest timbered folk house in the region. It was built in 1781.

Albrechtice – the wooden church kostelof St. Peter and Paul from the year 1766

Petrovice u Karviné – the wooden church of the Ascension of Christ from the year 1739. This is the only wooden church in the Czech Republic with preserved original paintings.
